Due to the age and character of the building, certain areas may not be suitable for some guests. We hope the following information will assist in planning your visit. We would also welcome any advice from visitors who feel we could do more to accommodate certain user groups. Please contact us directly if you have any questions regarding accessibility.

Car Parking & Arrival

There is street parking available close to the hotel (free of charge but subject to availability).
Customers are advised that there are steps to all entrances of the building.
Luggage & personal assistance on arrival or departure can be requested.

Rooms

Unfortunately due to the character of our building, we do not have any ground floor bedrooms. All bedrooms are accessed by stairs. We do not have a lift therefore our rooms are not accessible or suitable for
those restricted to wheelchair use.
Guests with limited mobility are encouraged to contact us prior to booking for more information.
Our management team, night porters or receptionists are briefed regarding any specific requirements during an emergency.

Dining

The public toilets are not suitable for wheelchair access.

Room Service & Garden Service

For guests with limited mobility, we do not charge a room service supplement.
Coffee shop and bar orders are usually handled at the bar, however we will gladly offer table service on request for guests who may need assistance.

Visual Impairment

Furnishings, carpets and wall coverings may not offer sufficient contrast for those with poor or partial sight.
Assistance can be provided if required although the routes through the ground floor have few obstacles or trip hazards.
We do not have Braille signage, menus or information packs but assistance can be provided by staff in all departments if required.
Dogs are not permitted during evening dining in the restaurant areas but we do make an exception for guide dogs. They are allowed in all public areas of the hotel.
